1. Data Engineer at trivago

trivago logo

trivago is hiring a Data Engineer in Düsseldorf to build and maintain the pipelines and data models its teams rely on, in a hybrid setup with up to two home days a week.

The centre of the job is a core session-level dataset: you would model it, add checks so people can trust it, and tune the large processing jobs that feed it. The stack is Python, SQL, Airflow and BigQuery, and the posting wants people who propose a redesign rather than file a ticket.

It ranks first because it is the freshest posting here (one day old when we checked) and the visa terms are the clearest of the four: visa support from trivago's talent team, a relocation package, an interest-free newcomer loan and free language classes. The posting is in English and does not mention German.

Best for: a data engineer with a first job or solid internship behind them who wants to own a dataset end to end.

Skip it if: you have never run a scheduled pipeline in production, since hands-on pipeline and data-model work is the first requirement.

Salary: No salary on the listing.

At a glance: Düsseldorf · hybrid · mid-level, no years stated · posted 29 October (1 day ago).

What stood out: trivago has posted 7 listings in Germany on The Stack in the last 90 days.

Watch out for: the posting labels the job "Mid Level" (Data Engineer II) without giving a number of years, and there is no salary.

2. (Associate) Product Manager, Client Data and Onboarding at Scalable Capital

Scalable Capital logo

Scalable Capital is hiring an Associate Product Manager in Munich or Berlin to run the sign-up and client data flows of its investing app, an entry-level role in a hybrid team.

You would write the user stories, keep the backlog, talk to users and sit between engineering, design and the legal and compliance people who decide what the onboarding must collect. Internships, working-student jobs or early work in product, consulting or operations count as experience.

Best for: a recent graduate in business, economics, data or engineering who wants a first PM title at a fintech.

Skip it if: you want to stay hands-on with code; this is a pure product role.

Salary: No salary on the listing.

At a glance: Munich or Berlin · hybrid · entry-level · posted 26 October (4 days ago).

What stood out: Scalable has 34 listings in Germany on The Stack in 90 days, the most of any company here.

Watch out for: English is the company language, but German is listed as a strong plus. The posting offers relocation support and does not spell out visa terms, so confirm them in your first call.

3. Full-Stack Software Engineer at NavVis

NavVis logo

NavVis is hiring a Full-Stack Software Engineer in Munich to build its browser app for 3D building scans across a Java server and an Angular client, asking for 3+ years of experience.

Day to day: Spring and Hibernate on the back end, TypeScript on the front, and a PostGIS layer of geospatial data, plus code reviews and mentoring.

Best for: a Java developer with a few years behind them who is just as happy in a TypeScript front end.

Skip it if: you have under three years in the job or no Java and Spring background.

Salary: No salary on the listing.

At a glance: Munich · hybrid · 3+ years · posted 26 October (4 days ago).

What stood out: 7 NavVis listings in Germany on The Stack in 90 days.

Watch out for: a screening call plus up to 4 interview rounds, and occasional C++ work on some projects. On the plus side, the posting promises full visa and relocation support.

4. Software Engineer, Mission Control Software at The Exploration Company

The Exploration Company logo

The Exploration Company is hiring a Software Engineer in Munich to build the mission control software its flight controllers and test teams use, a mid-level role with no years stated.

Expect Python or Rails services, a React or Vue front end, and streams of real-time test data through Kafka or Redis Streams into S3-style storage.

Best for: a backend-leaning developer who wants to work on spacecraft operations.

Skip it if: you need a clear remote or hybrid policy up front; the posting does not state one.

Salary: No salary on the listing.

At a glance: Munich · work mode not stated · mid-level · posted 23 October (7 days ago).

What stood out: only 2 listings from this company in Germany on The Stack in 90 days, so openings here are uncommon.

Watch out for: visa sponsorship is offered "where applicable", and every offer depends on a background check run by a third-party provider.

How to choose

If you are a graduate or have only internships behind you, Scalable Capital is the one to apply for; it is the only entry-level posting here. If you already run data pipelines, start with trivago, which also has the most detailed visa package. Java developers with three or more years should look at NavVis, and Python or Rails developers who want something unusual at The Exploration Company. Skip this list if you need a salary figure up front: none states one. For more options, see every visa-sponsored job in Germany on The Stack.

Before you apply

For candidates from outside the EU, one main route is the EU Blue Card. According to the federal government's Make it in Germany EU Blue Card page, the job must pay at least €50,700 gross a year in 2026, or at least €45,934.20 for shortage occupations, which include IT specialists, and for graduates who finished university no more than three years ago. Because none of these postings lists a salary, ask for the base range in the first call and check it against those numbers.

How we picked these

We started with today's planned angle, junior roles that are remote in Europe, but found fewer than three live, recent fits, so we widened it to tech roles in Germany below senior level. The filters were: Germany, visa sponsorship listed, posted in the last 30 days, no senior or staff title, one role per company, and no recruiters or aggregators. We reviewed about 70 candidate rows; 3 were closed when checked and 2 more were dropped because they came from a recruiter or relocated hires outside Germany. Every posting was opened on the employer's site on Oct 30, 2026; we did not apply or speak to the employers.
