If you work in data or AI and are weighing a move to Spain, these 5 open roles are listed with visa sponsorship on The Stack. Here's what each one offers:
Senior ML Engineer (LLM) at Multiverse Computing (Zaragoza): compress large language models with quantum-inspired tensor networks, then ship them.
Data Analyst, Everyday Banking at N26 (Barcelona): be the go-to data person for Cards and Payments and run the A/B tests behind them.
Data Scientist at ICF (Madrid): use statistics, ML and LLMs to answer public policy questions on energy, aviation and health.
Senior Data Engineer at Socialpoint (Barcelona): build the data marts and AI pipelines behind mobile games like Dragon City.
Staff Data Scientist at Monzo (Barcelona or London): set data science direction for a whole domain at the bank, for £124,400–£165,000.
Freshness check: we opened every employer posting on 26 October 2026, and all 5 were live. Postings close without warning, so the sooner you apply, the better.

Design new ways to compress large language models with quantum-inspired tensor networks, then fine-tune, benchmark and ship them, plus RAG and agent apps for clients.
Perfect for ML engineers who know transformers from the inside and would rather make models smaller and faster than just call an API.
Key skills: Python and PyTorch; HuggingFace Transformers, Accelerate and Datasets; GPU architectures; AWS and Docker. vLLM, TensorRT and HPC clusters are a plus.
At a glance: Zaragoza · hybrid · 5+ years with deep learning and transformers · posted 19 October (7 days ago) · no salary figure; the posting lists a variable performance bonus and a signing bonus · fluent English required
The Stack's take: Multiverse has posted 4 roles in Spain on The Stack in the last 90 days. The catch: the office is in Zaragoza, not Madrid or Barcelona, and visa sponsorship is offered "if applicable". Best for: an LLM engineer who wants to shrink models, not just prompt them.

Before you apply: the salary line that matters
Only Monzo's listing states a salary, so ask the others for the base figure early. Spain's highly qualified professional route (Ley 14/2013) has two versions. For the EU Blue Card, the contract or firm offer must pay at least €41,356.36 gross a year. That drops to €33,085.09 for hard-to-fill occupations in groups 1 and 2 of Spain's occupation classification, or if you earned your qualification in the 3 years before applying. The national highly qualified professional permit uses a single €41,356.36 threshold, with no reduced figure. How we picked these
We started from the 15 data and AI listings in Spain added to The Stack in the last 30 days, all marked as offering visa sponsorship, and kept one role per company. Then we opened each employer's posting. N26's Data Scientist role had already been taken down, so we featured its Data Analyst role instead. We left out Zynga's Senior Data Engineer listing because it repeats Socialpoint's posting word for word, and Hireroo's AI Engineer role because Hireroo is a recruitment agency hiring for a client it doesn't name. Everything in "At a glance" and "The Stack's take" comes from the employer's own posting or from counts of listings on The Stack.
Wrapping up
Start with the role that matches the stack you already use every day. New visa-sponsored jobs land on The Stack every morning, and the best data and AI ones land here.
