1. Core AI Engineering Manager at G-Research

G-Research is hiring a Core AI Engineering Manager in London to run the platform behind its AI work, with relocation and immigration costs covered by the firm. The team owns GPU compute, model serving, developer experience and the secure environments that AI agents run in, and you would set its roadmap with the Head of Basecamp Technology and the CTO.
You would lead build-versus-buy calls on inference infrastructure, own a central MCP gateway for other platform teams, decide how autonomous agents are sandboxed, and push adoption through SDKs, while managing a team of product-focused engineers.
It ranks first because it is fresh (posted two days ago), squarely AI, and has the clearest visa terms here: G-Research pays all relocation and immigration costs and assigns an immigration consultant.
Best for: an engineering manager who has run large Kubernetes or GPU platforms and wants to own AI infrastructure end to end.
Skip it if: you are not at an expert level in both C# and Python, or you have never managed multi-tenant Kubernetes clusters, since both are listed as requirements.
Salary: No salary on the listing, only "highly competitive" pay plus a bonus.
At a glance: London · on-site · 10+ years · posted 29 October (2 days ago).
What stood out: One of 4 G-Research listings in the UK on The Stack in the last 90 days.
Watch out for: No salary range, and the requirements include running MCP servers at scale and open-source contributions, which few candidates will have.
2. Senior Solutions Architect, Digital Experience and AI at EMBL

EMBL is hiring a Senior Solutions Architect in Hinxton, Cambridgeshire to design how users discover and use EMBL-EBI's scientific data and services, paying £4,395 a month after tax. It is a new role, so you would set the architecture, not inherit it.
Expect prototypes, API design and AI features such as retrieval-augmented search, tool calling and agents, built with UX colleagues to accessibility standards, plus managing the development team.
Best for: an architect or engineering lead who has already shipped LLM-based features and wants public research work over product growth targets.
Skip it if: you want a permanent contract, because this is a 3-year fixed-term contract (renewable up to 9 years).
Salary: Grade 7, from £4,395 a month after tax, excluding pension and insurance contributions, per the posting, checked Oct 31.
At a glance: Hinxton, Cambridgeshire · hybrid · 10+ years · posted 22 October (9 days ago).
What stood out: One of 4 EMBL listings in the UK on The Stack in 90 days.
Watch out for: Fixed-term contract, and the posting gives a closing date of Tuesday 17 November.
3. Senior Data Scientist at GE Aerospace

GE Aerospace is hiring a Senior Data Scientist in Gloucester to build AI, machine learning and analytics tools for Dowty, a GE Aerospace business, working from the Dowty office. You would pick projects with functional leaders, ship maintainable Python, and guide junior team members.
It is applied work alongside Lean and operations teams. Listed benefits include a performance bonus, a non-contributory pension, private medical cover and relocation assistance.
Best for: a senior Python data scientist who likes working with engineers and operations staff on practical models.
Skip it if: you cannot meet the requirements for UK Security Clearance, which the posting says is required and must be maintained.
Salary: No salary on the listing.
At a glance: Gloucester · office-based · 5-10 years · posted 30 October (1 day ago).
What stood out: The newest posting on this list, and one of 2 GE Aerospace listings in the UK on The Stack in 90 days.
Watch out for: Security clearance is mandatory, and the posting says a candidate who does not need sponsorship may be preferred if equally qualified.
How to choose
If you manage platform or infrastructure teams, start with G-Research: it is the freshest role and the firm covers relocation and immigration costs. If salary transparency matters, EMBL is the only one that lists pay, and its 17 November deadline means it should not wait. GE Aerospace suits a hands-on senior data scientist, but only if UK Security Clearance is realistic for you. Skip this list if you are early in your career, because all three ask for 5 or more years. You can also see every visa-sponsored job in the United Kingdom on The Stack.
Before you apply
For sponsored hires, the main route is the Skilled Worker visa. According to GOV.UK's Skilled Worker visa guidance, you usually need to be paid at least £41,700 a year or the going rate for your job, whichever is higher. Two of these three postings give no salary, so ask for the base range in the first call and check it against that threshold.
What The Stack's data shows
The Stack has 422 live UK listings that state visa sponsorship, and Wayve posted the most UK sponsored roles in the last 90 days (24). Data and AI roles were thinner: 5 of the 8 candidates we reviewed had closed, and only 1 of the 3 left states a salary.
