Deprecated

Example deprecation warning

Generally, deprecate (verb) means to not approve of something.

In technology, deprecate can be a verb or an adjective to mean that a feature is no longer recommend for use.

  • You shouldn’t use deprecated features.

  • The developers plan to deprecate this API in the next release.
